Industrial fabric, as the core category of industrial textiles, is widely used in building materials, chemical industry, logistics and other fields. The core purpose of edge sealing is to prevent loose fibers from falling off and resist external media erosion, while strengthening the strength of the edge structure and adapting to subsequent processing and working conditions.

The mainstream edge banding process needs to be selected based on the industrial fabric material, thickness, and purpose. Hot sealed edges are the preferred choice for synthetic fiber industrial fabrics such as polyester and polypropylene. By using hot air, hot pressing, and other methods to melt and cool the edge fibers, they have the advantages of good sealing effect and high efficiency, and are suitable for waterproof and anti-corrosion scenarios. Sewing and edge sealing use high-strength industrial sewing thread locking, with flexible technology that can adapt to thick canvas, fiberglass cloth and other materials. The edge has strong tensile strength and is commonly used for products that require frequent stress such as storage tarpaulins and conveyor belts.

Glue sealed edges are cured using specialized industrial adhesives, suitable for special materials that are not suitable for high temperatures or sewing, such as carbon fiber industrial fabrics and fire-resistant and flame-retardant fabrics, but their weather resistance needs to be strictly controlled. In addition, for high-end precision scenarios, ultrasonic edge sealing can also be used to achieve fiber molecular level fusion through high-frequency vibration. The edge sealing is smooth and free of burrs, with excellent sealing and aesthetics.

The quality control of edge sealing should pay attention to three key points: material compatibility, such as using high-temperature resistant edge sealing technology for fiberglass cloth to avoid material aging; Edge flatness needs to be trimmed in advance to prevent wrinkles from affecting the edge sealing effect; The precision of process parameters, heat sealing temperature, adhesive dosage and other parameters need to be fine tuned according to the fabric thickness.
